Introduction to Woodcarving

Join Ben Maxted on an introductory course to woodcarving over two sessions

Wood Carving March 19, 10.30am - 1.30pm

Wood Finishing March 26, 10.30am - 1.30pm

1: Carving - Learn carving techniques so you're able to fashion your own 3D object. Be adventurous as you like and come with a prepared idea/ image. Participants will be supplied with materials and tools. You need good eyesight and natural dexterity, but don't need previous experience.

2: Wood Finishing - Following Ben's methods, transform a piece of wood into a thing of beauty in this final workshop

Participants will have a wonderful time and lots of one to one tuition. £45 covers materials and the 2 sessions

Please help us by booking early and definitely by Thursday 28 February, booking is essential as places are limited to 4.  This bespoke workshops is run with minimum and maximum numbers in mind and carefully calculated so that the materials and the leader's fee is covered by the course fees.  

Payment
We require full payment before the workshop and we recommend paying for your place online. Please present a printed copy of your emailed booking confirmation to the workshop leader on arrival.

Alternatively Small World Centre is open Tuesday - Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm if you'd like to pay in cash/ cheque. A member of staff will be available during these opening times to advise you. Tickets are non-refundable except when a workshop is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, in which case Small World will refund you.
