Traditional Building Skills - Using Lime

A new series of residential, hands-on courses at Over the Rainbow, Tanygroes. Designed to help you restore and care for older buildings, with an emphasis on the use of lime. 

Delivered by Gervase Webb, of Horgan & Webb restoration and conservation West Wales; the two day course includes illustrated lectures and practical sessions, as well as a wide range of fact-sheets, ‘how to’ guides and reference documents to help you when you come to try out the various techniques for yourself.

Mixing theory and practical, hands-on work, this course is ideal for both homeowners and builders wanting to acquire the knowledge needed to help restore and conserve older buildings.

Our course will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to take on the repair and maintenance of a traditional building – be it a terraced cottage or an imposing mansion – and will enable you to do the right thing to ensure that future generations can enjoy our unique built heritage.
