In this brand new production, Small World Theatre premieres a tribute to film noir. ‘One Way Street' is a live theatre performance inhabited by puppets and film projections.  Tickets are available on Friday, but we're reaching capacity on Saturday.  The shows start at 7.30pm, and if you're able, please call the box office number at 7pm to check availablility 01239 615 952.

The show is in glorious black and white and contains all the moral ambiguity embodied in the noir genre. Encounter the femme fatal and the hard-nosed detective, just how will the bankers fair in this post depression tale of greed, lust and intrigue? This startling monochrome experience has subtle layers and changes of pace that transform San Francisco from soft focus to chiaroscuro sharpness and even take the hero on a journey to Swansea.

Sam Stone is a San Francisco private investigator. People come to him to solve their problems. Lately those problems have been more and more difficult to solve. One day a woman walks into his office with what seems to be an open and shut case, but this one's going to get him into a whole lot of trouble. What's more he can't even find a decent cup of coffee! One Way Street is redolent with the themes and style of the film Noir classics. It's convoluted story and intricate plot leads Sam Stone on a tour of the city's high and low spots travelling by classic car, boat, plane and cable car. Written and produced by Small World Theatre this is a show for adults where cunningly skilled puppetry and animation will astonish an adult audience.

Booking your seats - Terms and Conditions

Booking Online
We like people that book ahead! You can book tickets online through this website up until Thursday 21st 2pm and by clicking the BOOK icon at the bottom of this page. Remember to let us know if you've booked tickets online and you are part of a group, as we can arrange that you all sit together. Please bring a print out of your booking to present to the door staff on the night. Our phone number for enquiries is 01239 615 952.

Booking at the Box Office
Alternatively you can book tickets in person by visiting our office Tuesday - Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm. Please pay by cash/ cheque and you will be issued with tickets to take away. Doors will be open at 7pm and there will be a bar available before the performance which begins at 7.30pm.
