Clowning School - Fully Booked!

A SMALL WORLD THEATRE EVENT

We are starting a new clowning and circus school! Young people will learn new skills, find their true inner clown and work alongside a range of professional performers, drawing on influences such as Lecoq, Creux, Commedia dell'Arte. Subjects covered include clowning, make-up and costume, tight rope, balancing, comedy and mime.

Children's workshops dates: 9 - 12 April, 10am - 1pm
£35 covers all 4 morning sessions and entrance to Bash Street Theatre's performance on Friday 12 April at 7.30pm

The week will conclude in a show where the performers will demonstrate their new-found foolery.  Don’t forget to invite your family and friends!

As well as all this we are lucky to be able to host a performance of ‘The Last Illusion’ a new show created by international circus and clowning maestros Bash Street Theatre Company. The children’s performance will be premiered on Friday 12 April at 6pm prior to ‘The Last Illusion’.  

Clowning keeps the spirit of play alive...

These workshops are suitable for ages 6 - 13 years. It is essential children book early and by Thursday 28 March as numbers are limited. A member of staff will be available to answer any questions and to take your booking Tuesday - Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm.

Bash Street Theatre Performance!

As well as all this we are lucky to be able to host a performance of ‘The Last Illusion' a new show created by international circus and clowning maestros Bash Street Theatre Company. The performance looks back on the lives of two retired magicians and includes inventive and fast-moving comedy, magic, physical theatre and circus skills. Bash Street are currently touring venues and festivals throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
