Fri 4 March - Sun 6 March 2011

Sister Act hits the Queen's Hall!
If you fancy a bit of Whoopi in your life, but can't afford the airfare, come to the Queen's Hall, Narberth, on for a once in a lifetime treat!
Opening this year's Narberth Acapella Festival on Friday 4 March will be Renewal Gospel Choir. Bristol's answer to Sister Act will get you clapping along and singing out hallelujahs! Supported by The Top Shelalas, "a kooky acapella trio whose voices sound nothing short of exquisite", whose quirky set list includes Michelle Shocked and The Wailin' Jennys.
Saturday 5 March will be jam-packed with workshops ranging from Eastern European harmonies, to African yelli to beat box. Joining the Renewal Choir and Top Shelalas in tutoring throughout the day will be freestyle legend Maggie Nichols who has performed internationally for several decades, Molara from Zion Train and Su Hart from Baka Beyond, plus Roxane Smith who's used to leading 300 strong impromptu choirs for Water Aid.
Lunchtime entertainment will be provided by Wales' own powerful Tempus Choir in the majesty of the Bethesda Chapel.
All Together Now!
Saturday evening will culminate in The Big Sing - a fantastic evening of performances from our star studded collection of tutors, the chance to perform in a scratch choir with Roxane Smith, and a resounding communal chorus where everyone gets to join in.
Sunday 6 March sees a celebration of the Welsh language in honour of St David's Day, for Welsh learners, speakers, or those interested in trying some new vowel sounds. Starting with a workshop by the talented Margaret Daniel from Cardigan, the evening presents a supper of traditional Welsh cawl (soup) before Eisteddfod performances and a stirring concert by Welsh Mixed Voice Choir Corlan in the magnificence of St Andrews Church.
Buy a weekend ticket or pick and mix workshops and performances. Above all, have fun!
