Reach  Young People Through Creativity  -  Arts Worshops

This is a Reach the Heights Project supported by the European Social Fund.  This is a Reach the Heights project supported by the Arts Council for Wales. This 4 day course will enable practitioners and support staff to engage young people and promote personal development through practical art and craft activities.  Small-World Arts Workshops can be done almost anywhere with inexpensive, recycled or free resources and will suit a range of abilities.  Projects deliver fast results or can be made more complex to suit the client group.

Students will be able to set up and deliver small-scale arts workshops designed to be accessible and achievable by all, promoting opportunities for successful results. A hands-on approach will be used to investigate practical techniques and processes, always reflecting the needs of the student by being responsive and flexible.

We will explore four different activities: driftwood sculpture; shadow
puppets; kite-making; environmental art or lantern making (depending on weather).
