Lara Bernays

Medical Herbalist Lara Julia Bernays. BSc (hons) MNIMH.

Lara  was born and grew up in the magical mountains of Myddfai, once home to great herbal doctors, The Physicians of Myddfai. She went on to gain a science degree in Herbal Medicine and is currently practicing at the Natural Healthcare Centre Newport, Pembrokeshire.

She's a member of The National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and has training and experience in clinical herbal practice, laboratory based and ethno-botanical research, and teaching. Her aim is to increase the awareness of the medicinal value of plants, unearthing and preserving traditional herbal knowledge and pioneering the evolution of plants as medicine. I run many community based workshops and give talks across south Wales, with the intention to inspire and empower others to use plants as home remedies.
