By road
Approaching from the east the M4 is the main route to West Wales. At Pont Abraham continue on the dual carriage way to Carmarthen and then follow signs for Cardigan. At Newcastle Emlyn take the A484 which will brin g you into Cardigan at Finches Square.
By car from the north take the A487 from Aberystwyth. This route hugs the rolling coastline as you descend into South Ceredigion and the lower Teifi Valley.
By rail
Getting to the lower Teifi valley by rail you’ve got four options. Trains from South Wales and the West of England stop at Fishguard, Carmarthen, and Clynderwen.
From Fishguard it’s a short bus ride up to Cardigan on the 412. There are only two trains a day coinciding with ferry freight so not necessarily the most convenient times.
From Carmarthen the bus station is located just over the river from the station and accessible by a purpose built footbridge. Services from Carmarthen run every two hours at peak travel times.
Trains from the Midlands and Mid Wales arrive at Aberystwyth station. The taxi rank is located to the left of the station by the side exit whilst the bus stand for destinations south of Aber e.g. New Quay and Cardigan i s on the left of the junction to the taxi rank.
