Join Lara and Tom for a full day course discovering what shoots are up and edible. This is the first of the foraging walks this year. After a long cold winter you will be looking for spring shoots traditionally eaten to cleanse and wake us from our winter hibernation.

The day is spent learning how to identify and responsibly harvest edible plants. You'll be given tips for preparing and cooking various dishes.
Please meet the group at Small World Theatre at 10am. The aim is to visit different habitats on foot during the day.
You will travel through river, estuary, sand dunes and hedgerows discovering an amazing assortment of edible and useful plants.
Your guides are herbalist Lara Bernays and gastronomer Tom Bean. Together their knowledge and infectous enthusiasm will make for a very exciting and adventurous day!
Please bring a basket as you'll be gathering enough wild food to prepare a delicious lunch outdoors. Wear walking shoes and warm weatherproof clothes. Suitable for all ages.
