Cardigan Sustainable Technology Week, 6 - 11 September, is a week of displays and exhibits, talks, workshops and other activities to explore sustainable technologies for the next 900 years. The event will be held at Cardigan's Cornmarket gallery throughout the week with a programme of activities in the Guildhall.

Tuesday 7th September
Wind Power 
10-3.30 - Workshops and presentations on developing community wind energy installations.
In the morning - Presentations from Dan McCallum of Awel Aman Tawe Community Energy , Peter Newland from Albro Planning & Environmental, information about funding for projects from Ynni'r Fro, an outline of the whole process of developing a project from John Fairlie, and expert advice from Bill Richmond of Farm Wind about landowners developing wind projects and qualifying for the Feed-in Tariff.
In the afternoon there will be opportunities for groups to work on projects with expert advice on hand.
Natural Paint, 4pm - Talks and workshop on using Natural Paints from John Dison of Earthborn and Matt Grudgings of Nature Paint.


Wednesday 8 September
Jane Davidson, 9:30-10 - Keynote speech from the minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing
Eco Tour, 10-4 - On the Green Dragon bus to visit local buildings - includes straw bale house and mill in St Dogmaels.
Insulating Naturally, 12-2 - Presentations on insulation and air-tightness from Black Mountain and Warmcel.


Thursday 9th September
Sustainable IT , 2pm Linux Computer Operating System and Open Source Software - Talk and workshop by Iestyn Smith and opportunity to try different systems/programmes.


Friday 10th September
Solar PV, 1-5 - How to install a solar photovoltaic panel, suitable for 12 volt battery off-grid systems - hands on practical workshop with Bob Robarts of Sustainergy.
