An Evening of Classical piano and Voice

Greg is performing in a collection of theatres over the summer period including Small World Centre in Cardigan.

Traditionally, Greg's voice type was written for the Baroque period and therefore he is well versed for these types of arias.  However, musical theatre, crossover rock, pop ballads, opera and even creating his own original twist on Music, Greg endeavours to be the first Rock Opera performer! Greg is being accompanied by Kirsten who played for him at Opera Al Fresco, Chepstow Castle.

Kirsten Sondergaard takes you on a personal musical tour of her favourite well known piano classics that she has enjoyed over her 40 years playing this wonderful instrument. Classics range from J.S Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, through to the ballads of Chopin, ragtime from Scott Joplin and show tunes by George Gershwin. Great 1940 piano concertos from the Movies include The Dream of Olwyn, The Warsaw Concerto, The Cornish Rhapsody and The Legend of the Glass Mountain.

The TV theme section relives great openings from some of the best shows ever. Upstairs-Downstairs, Owen MD, The Thorn birds, All Creatures Great and Small and Pot Black!
The classics of contemporary piano-composers of the 1970's and 80's are beautifully played.... Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Billy Joel.

Songs of timeless musical Theatre include The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, The King and I, My Fair lady and South Pacific to name a few of her personal favourites.
